Welcome!

I’m Emilia Rivera, founder of Lightkeeper Creative Co. and a lifelong believer in the power of art to guide us home to ourselves.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Colorado State University in 2016, and since then I’ve had the joy of teaching art to students of all ages. From preschoolers discovering their first brushstrokes to high schoolers preparing advanced portfolios for college, I’ve walked alongside my students from wherever they begin, to their creative goals, and beyond. Over the years, I’ve taught everything from beginner’s drawing to college-level painting and printmaking, but what I’ve come to value most isn’t just the technical skills — it’s the safe, affirming space that art can create.

While working with teens and young adults, I saw firsthand how deeply unique and creative students need supportive adults who not only believe in their creative voice and personal talent, but can meet them in their own world.

Art can be a sanctuary — a place to process, to connect, and to grow. It can be the light in a dark season, or the safe harbor in a storm.

That’s what Lightkeeper Co. is all about.

Here, you’ll find classes and mentorship that strengthen technical skills while also honoring the human side of creating.

We celebrate imperfection, nurture curiosity, and lean into the process without fear.

Whether you’re sketching your first lines or building a pre-college portfolio, this is a place where your art — and your self — are seen, valued, and encouraged to shine.

Welcome to the harbor. The light’s on for you.
